Heritable Innovation Trust

The Heritable Innovation Trust (HIT) is a project of David E. Martin and M•CAM International, described as a framework developed as an alternative to the intellectual property system.[1] Additional partners include Ethical Markets Media, Mongolia Innovation Capital Partners (M-ICP) and Integral Trade.[1:1]

History

David Martin reportedly conceived of the HIT framework while attending the Open Forum on the Draft Substantive Patent Law Treaty (SPLT) hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on March 2, 2006.[1:2] It was subsequently deployed by M•CAM in 2008.[2]

Team

The bulk of HIT's team is made up of interns, with several formal employees:[3]
