Effective Ventures Foundation

The Effective Ventures Foundation is a British charitable organization based in Oxford, England. The organization was formerly known as the Centre for Effective Altruism.

History

In September 2022, the Centre for Effective Altruism changed its legal name to Effective Ventures Foundation.[1] The operation based in the United States remained with the old name for the time being.

Organization

The foundation is governed by a board of five trustees: William MacAskill, Nick Beckstead, Tasha McCauley, Owen Cotton-Barratt, and Claire Zabel.[2]
