Africa-America Institute

The Africa-America Institute (AAI) is an American non-profit organization based in New York City.

History

AAI was founded in 1953. The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was centrally involved in its affairs for nearly a decade, providing "the largest proportion of the more than $1 million which AAI spent in the 1950s."[1] The CIA's funding of the Institute was revealed in 1967.[2]
