COVID-19

As of December 7, 2021, Monarch's website stated that all of their audio engineers and interns had “been double-vaccinated for COVID-19.”[1]

Death of Olivia Quan

Monarch employee Olivia Quan died suddenly on July 1, 2022 at age 25 while working on her laptop in bed at home. Monarch announced her death on July 4, 2022 on Instagram.[2][3] It was revealed shortly after that she died of a brain bleed, which Monarch described as being of "natural causes."[4] In their statement, Monarch said they took comfort in the fact that they were "told she most likely lost consciousness immediately and died without prolonged discomfort."[3:1]
