Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice

The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice (CIAJ) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization based in Montreal, Quebec.

History

CIAJ was founded in 1974 at Osgoode Hall Law School with a $225,000 grant from the Donner Canadian Foundation. It moved to the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 1978, remaining there until 1986, when it moved to the University of Montreal Faculty of Law, where it remained until April 2019.[1]

Organization

CIAJ is listed as part of the Canadian Superior Courts Judges Association (CSCJA) network[2] and is a member of the International Organization for Judicial Training (IOJT).[3]
