Axial Biotech was an American biotechnology company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. It ran a GenDB Genealogical Database, a "proprietary genealogical database."[1]

History

Axial Biotech, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Delaware on November 1, 2002.[2] The company was officially founded in 2002, and launched in 2003.[1:1][3]

On July 22, 2009, Axial announced it had entered a partnership with the University of Utah which provided the company access to "the University’s rich genetic resources," including the Utah Population Database, "a genealogical and family history database composed of more than 6 million records that provides a rich source of information for genetic, epidemiological, demographic and public health studies."[1:2]
